SCREEN PRINTING / UV INKS
Vitrum UV
« back
Serie 17000
The Vitrum UV is an ultraviolet radiation curing ink specially formulated for screen printing in unflavoured glass. It has an excellent adherence in Flint and float glass and a very good chemical and mechanical resistance. Highly recommended for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and beverage industry given its wide variety of effects to achieve in its different applications, such as thermochromatic, photochromatic and metallic colours.

With a line of colours of good resistance to the intemperie in which the polychromatic tones are included.

Auxiliaries

Additive 428 (code 4810): It is added to the ink of 2 to 4% to improve physical and chemical resistance.

Curing accelerator (code 11042): It is recommended to add from 1 to 5% if necessary.

Reducer of non-active viscosity (code11047): An excess can modify the characteristics of the ink, not add more than 5%.

General Recommendations

Do not mix this line of inks with any product not recommended in the previous point (AUXILIARIES).

Curing

The cure rate depends on the following factors, lamp status, film thickness and color. Check these points before adding curing accelerator.

Pre-Print Test

Check the characteristics of the substrates before use, checking the adhesion of the ink.

Curing Deficiencies

If you get poor curing with any of the colours, shown through wet film or loss of brightness, it is usually due to an excessive ink tank. To correct this, factors such as mesh, squeegees, color density, band speed or amount of UV energy must be modified.

Storage

Store in a place protected from light and in black polyethylene containers, because exposure to light causes the polymerization of the ink.

The containers should be closed very well, and immediately after using the inks. To maximize shelf life, the storage temperature should be 10 ° C to 25 ° C (50 ° F - 77 ° F). The stability of the ink is one year, fulfilling the mentioned requirements.

Safety

Contact with skin causes irritation, in this case wash with plenty of soap and water.
Wear gloves and eye protection.
Change contaminated clothing and consult a physician.

Important note

I. The inks formulated by Pintesint SAICyF must be used exclusively with the solvents and the complementary products that it manufactures for that purpose. Due to the diversity of products in the market, the company is not responsible for the use of the same from another source.
II. The suggestions and data of this literature were elaborated in good faith, to guide the user. We recall the importance of checking the adaptability of inks and complementary products by testing before starting production. Due to the fact that the conditions of use of the products are not under our control, the present does not constitute a guarantee on the work to be done.
